Although still tons to go I have started on the User Guide. If anyone wishes to help you can apply for the writer/editor role in your account area.
I also may start another site soon but I promise I will try to keep this one at high priority since it will require a lot more work on my end.
Once I get a nice base of content I mays start working on a custom template/theme but for not this will be fine. I don't feel like taking the time to make a logo and stuff right now either if no one is going to visit the site anyway.
As you can see we now have a shout box! I know it's nothing special but I like them :P.
Well that's it for not it's 1 in the morning and I'm tired so don't feel like typing a whole lot.
Just letting you know we updated to the latest version of Drupal. Everything should work but if you do find an error please report it. That's all for now really. I'll try and get started on the guides as I think I have about all the modules I need/want right now except maybe one.
That one is just to help with path names to make them look better. We'll see about that one though as well right now I don't feel like working on it.
I think I got it working but I'm not to sure yet. It doesn't seem to create sub directories but it should work.
Newest module added today is the editor. It works just like the default editor(html) but adds some simple buttons for those who don't know html to well or just are to lazy to type every tag(like me).
I believe there is a module that goes with it quite well for adding images easily. I'll get back to you on this one though. This editor can also be edited with buttons to fit our needs so we should never need to replace it as I will never get a WYSIWYG editor as they make things harder than they should be(for me anyway code is just easier to manage to make it work how you want).
I've added over 200 avatars for you to choose from today. Although I have to still remove some due to how big they are (demension wise) and some are admittedly really stupid(like the ornaments) you have a pretty decent selection.
Once I remove the ones that I don't like I will probably add more too. I want to have a large collection because as it is only one person can have that avatar. I like this feature as it's pretty easy to then identify people by it.
I gave up on drupal because it wasn't stable enough on shared hosting. But I recently bought a VPS because I got tired of limitations. I first tried Linode but well I couldn't figure things out for the life of me. And it seemed there was a lot less documentation on the latest version of debian and LAMP set ups than I though. So I then found a very nice offer from servercomplete.net so I decided to try them.
